Images uploaded for use as group icon come in off-center, and cropping produces unexpected (and usually worse) results. Have not yet managed to find a workaround. Is there a maximum dimension on the input images that, if know, would resolve this?

I've attached a set of example images (original, 512x512) and the effects of attempting to crop it.
