Expectation is that the Public Map is only Public to vetted members of Hylo. As a group admin, I expect that only approved groups have access to my public posts, not the entire world.

hmm, this is how hylo has always worked. marking something as Public means it is truly public. it could even be found by a search engine potentially! thats the whole idea of The Commons

Tibet, I hope you hear me when I say this is concerning to me. I am less likely now to post publicly, and more likely to not have a public group. I was not aware of this wide-open approach. I would guess I'm not the only one on the platform who has been unaware, as well.
