Notifications- Clicking #1 reference doesn't show anything new.

My expectation is that when I hit the #1 that I'll be shown a new message, or comment. I'm not being guided to anything else.

i have noticed that sometimes it takes a minute to load the new posts, it should at least show a spinner

Tibet, I fussed with it for a while. It didn't give me a spinner. Is there a way to delay the notification until it actually loads?
