The Hylo Skill Map interface is pure gold and the source of so much value for uncovering shared interests within and across communities. One of the current challenges is that there appears to be only one time when members are actively encouraged to select from a group's curated list of skills/interests. It's right when people are signing in for the first time and still don't know anything about Hylo or why something like this is useful for connecting with others. Yes, you can always update your tags on the edit profile page but then there's no proactive group overlay of shared tags.

It would be great to have some process that coordinators can use to promote members filling out their tags based on the communities curated tags. It's important to be able to do this later because these tags are likely to evolve over time and could be influenced by the use of interest and skill ontologies (see below). This might work in a couple of ways:

1) A coordinator email or notification that links members to a simple UI for seeing their group's tags and their current selections of those (along w/ the ability to add your own free-form)

2) A new "Survey" view where tag selection is one of the options.
