Scrolling up (dragging down) just a lines regens the page abruptly and repeatedly, this is a major issue IMO
Replying to posts has issues when needing to gather links outside of hylo app or other areas within app, often/always terminating the reply window
Moving from one side bar menu item to another takes incredibly long relatively speaking
The general layout is not what I would call intuitive and while compartmentalization is great, its not clear that the #stream captures all the members interactions or if it should. There is a lack of cohesion in my opinion, but I’m not a designer and I don’t any suggestions atm. I watched a “how to use hylo” vid on YT and it seemed helpful but there doesn’t seem to be a user friendly orientation “station” embedded in the site… maybe its just me. I’m not new to navigating sites, and I’m a stickler for details and either no one has called out these issues I’m presenting here or they haven’t been addressed (yet)
Keep getting “No Internet Connection” consistently and while I have a verified connection:
There doesn’t seem to be a way to share pdfs via DM or system email and I’m not sure that is by design or an oversight but I believe it would be helpful for accomplishing things in general especially with collaborators
In iOS There seems to be an inability to paste text or links (from notes in iOS, for instance,) into a thread in a discussion inside #General, For instance, or anywhere else that I could tell… There seems to be an issue with a limitation in the width of the text box that makes the send button in accessible and makes the text within the box after the paste, unable to be edited
It seems there is a disconnect between receiving an email of a reply in thread, and actually being able to go directly to that thread and answer it. This is a perfect example of the obstruction to the workflow that I am experiencing using Hylo, nothing personal, but something so simple should just be automatic, and I shouldn’t have to struggle with my phone or my laptop to just reply to the person that I got a message from And it is seriously hampering my flow

Thanks for all these reports Brian! Sorry you are experience such trouble. A few more notes:
- We do have a pull down to refresh feature that could be causing the reloads, but it shouldnt be getting triggered when you dont want it to. What page are you on where it is happening? I can see it happening when i pull down on the page header, which could be wahts happening. I do think we could make that less likely to happen.
- We are very shortly going to release a drafts feature which will solve the issue of replies disappearing as you navigate around.
- We continue to work on improving load times. It should be getting better and there is more to do.
- We know the Stream vs #general chat can be confusing. The stream doesn't right now display chat posts for example, which could be confusing. We are working on a next iteration of our information architecture that should make the different views more clear and obvious in how they should be used
- The No Internet Connection thing is very weird, we will definitely look into this.
- You cant share attachments via DM right now, and that is something we will add
- The issue with pasted text making it hard to post i am also looking into. Someone else complained about. Can you explain exactly how/where you are seeing this?
- Notifications should definitely take you to the right place, that is prioritity #1 here. Next time you click on one that does not take you to the right place can you send us the link that didnt work and where it took you instead?

I open my iPhone;
I cannot recreate any of these issues, aside from the the sharing PDFs by DM...because we've never offered that
So I have to ask: what version are they on? What is this iPhone (is it super old)?

Thomas Watson. Hello Thomas, I’m on an iPhone 14. My Hylo version is current and I’ve using it for 5weeks or so. I started tracking my issues about 4 weeks ago. Perhaps it is my phone, still many others likely have older iphones and it’s not ideal if the app has issues for them. Admittedly I’m still on iOS 18.6.2 for the same reason many others have chosen not to upgrade. I know I will have to eventually. I’m not typically using the app on iOS because of the stickiness, so I’ll use it in safari on my phone if I can’t access my laptop. Hope that helps. Reach out if you need more details. 🙏🗿

I'm on a iPhone 11 (so older) but on iOS 26. I don't think you being on 18 should be an issue.
Can you verify your Hylo version in the app store?

The latest version was released 23 April (6.3.6) and we had a slew of issues with the releases in the weeks prior to that. So unless you have actively gone into the app store and updated the app, there is a good chance that you still have one of the glitchy releases from five weeks ago
