Centralized view displaying group roles/badges (who has what role/badge)
Krisha Subramanian
When viewing a group (after the redesign) there's no clear indication of who holds moderator, host, or coordinator roles. Users must navigate to individual member profiles to see role assignments, where it isn't super visible.
It suggested that there could be a centralized view showing all moderators, roles, and badges along with their assigned members. This could be implemented within the member directory with filtering options by role or badge type.

From: Ahmed Buasallay - Thank you Krisha for starting this conversation! Here is my thoughts on it:
- Roles could be functional titles, that can change how members interact with the group, such as adminstrative tasks and accessibility to the different spaces.
- Badges could be "cosmetic" titles, that gives info about the person without gaining any functionality. Badges will also have descriptions to explain how people get the tag.
-- For example in our case, when someone first joins the SGN group, they automatically gain the "New Member" role, which gives access only to the #general chat. Once they finish the new member track, they gain a new role "Core Member." Part of the track is them choosing the badge that best describes their connection with Schumacher College - eg. they did an MA in Ecolgical Design Thinking, so they get the "EDT" badge.
- The editing menu for roles and tag needs upgrading. It is clunky and awkward to use. I think the Discrod role management panel is good practice. Some initial suggestion are the ability to edit all roles (even pre-defined), and to add buttons for each role box that enables to save, edit, delete, and de/activate that role.
